The Syracuse University Saturday Art Workshops is a 9 week art enrichment program for students ages 5-16. They are taught by Art Education students and serve as a precursor to the student teaching experience. I created and taught 3, 3-week units based on the themes of identity, community, and world. I was responsible for planning and implementing these lessons, budgeting for materials, and communicating with parents about accommodating a variety of student needs. At the conclusion of the 9 week session, myself and the other educators hosted an exhibition of student work where we collaborated on the exhibition design and installation, displayed final pieces and process work, wall text describing the lessons, photos of student working, and artist's statements.
